Share It with LocalShare!

LocalShare is a project of the Foodshed Alliance that uses volunteers to glean farm-fresh food from generous farmers and donates it to food pantries and soup kitchens to serve those in need.

Each week, LocalShare will have a LocalShare It! Basket at the Foodshed Alliance tent at the Blairstown Farmers’ Market. We invite market visitors to:

• Buy a little extra each week at the market to donate to LocalShare.
• If you have a home garden and harvest more than you and your friends can use, bring your surplus to the market and put it in the LocalShare basket.
• If you have backyard chickens and more eggs than you can use, bring the eggs to the market and donate them to LocalShare.

At the end of the market day, LocalShare volunteers will deliver these fresh-food donations to local food pantries and soup kitchens to contribute to the health and wellness of the people in need.
